FAQ

Who do these Terms apply to?

These Terms apply to anyone who visits 8threads.com.au, requests a quote, or purchases business email, web design, custom software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, industry ERP solutions or maintenance services from Eight Threads Pty Ltd (ABN 13 698 719 292).

Can 8threads change prices?

Yes. All prices on our shop, services and proposals are indicative and may be revised at any time without prior notice. The price that applies to your order is the price confirmed in writing on your invoice or signed statement of work. Recurring fees (email, care plans) may be adjusted at renewal with at least 30 days' written notice.

How are services delivered and billed?

Recurring services (email, care plans) are billed in advance for the term shown on your order — shop plans are billed upfront for the term shown on each plan (24 months for cPanel email and care plans, 12 months for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace). Project services (web design, custom software, Dynamics 365 BC, ERP) are billed against the milestones in the agreed statement of work. All amounts are in AUD and exclude GST unless stated otherwise.

What happens if I cancel?

Recurring plans can be cancelled so they do not renew at the end of the current term. Fees paid in advance for a term are non-refundable except where required by the Australian Consumer Law. For project work, work performed up to the cancellation date is payable; pre-paid amounts for milestones not yet started are refunded.

Who owns the work we deliver?

Once you have paid in full, you own the bespoke deliverables we create specifically for you — designs, source code and configurations. Our pre-existing tools, libraries, templates and AL extension components stay ours, and we give you a perpetual licence to use them as part of your deliverables. Third-party software such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 is covered by its vendor's own licence terms.

What is your liability?

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the affected service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Which law governs these Terms?

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
